This one is going to be short……and simple. I saw a quote from Dr. Seuss earlier and posted it on my facebook story. Sometimes you don’t know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory. (Dr. Seuss) Wow……that is so true! Maybe even more than one moment, but a series of moments are the same way. We often take that which is so special and minimize it to an expectation of normalcy. In reality, that series of moments, the seemingly mundane or routine, the ordinary…..those are the most precious gifts. Sometimes we don’t realize the gift until it’s gone. The extraordinary through the ordinary vanishes…..poof. Just like that. So many of us live in fear. Fear of the unknown. Fear that we will disappoint and hurt someone. Fear that we will fail……again. In that fear, we miss the moments to remember. Yes, even the moments of tears and disappointment. Those are moments to remember for they show us the depths of someone’s heart. We also risk missing such an extraordinary connection if we just let go of the fear. Isn’t all anyone wants to know is that they are loved? Our kids, our family, our pets, our friends……and us? That’s a moment to remember. Maybe I continue to be a hopeless romantic…..I mean, look where it’s gotten me so far. But I do believe in love conquering all. I believe if you love……truly and deeply love….. any hurt, disappointment and failure feels manageable because you have the unconditional support from those who love you. They’ve got you. Hang tight my friends, for that’s a moment to remember.
